Work with us
We partner with industry, host researchers and students, and work alongside patient organisations. Here is how.
Industry and pharma
A translational platform for testing and validating compounds in well-characterised models of rare and genetic epilepsy, from preclinical evaluation to in vivo readouts.
- Preclinical evaluation of small molecules and repurposed drugs
- Functional assessment with chronic in vivo electrophysiology
- Behavioural phenotyping powered by computational analysis
- Access to well-characterised genetic epilepsy models and rare disease expertise
Researchers and students
PhD students, postdoctoral researchers and visiting scientists are welcome to get in touch. Undergraduate and medical students at RCSI can join through the Student Selected Projects programme and the FutureNeuro summer internship scheme.
- PhD projects in a well-supported, funded programme
- Postdoctoral positions leading independent work
- Visiting scientist stays and collaborations
Patient organisations and families
Our research questions are shaped with families and patient groups. We work closely with the CDKL5 Alliance and welcome conversations about awareness, engagement and research priorities.
- Talks and lab visits
- Input into research priorities
- Plain-language updates on our findings
Work with us
Join a team at the frontier of genetic epilepsy research.
Our lab combines expertise in non-coding RNA biology, in vivo electrophysiology and computational behaviour analysis to understand and ultimately treat genetic epilepsies, with a particular focus on CDKL5 deficiency disorder.
For prospective lab members
We welcome enquiries from:
- PhD students — seeking a challenging, well-supported research project
- Postdoctoral researchers — ready to lead independent, high-impact work
- Visiting scientists — looking for a collaborative stay in a dynamic research environment
Undergraduate and medical students at RCSI can join us through the Student Selected Projects (SSP) programme or the FutureNeuro summer internship scheme.
To apply, please email a CV and a short note describing what you would like to work on.
